Lowell History

On July 11, 1972, three women joined the ranks of the Lowell Volunteer Fire Department, setting a precedent for official recognition of women firefighters in Wisconsin. The Lowell women firefighters were conferred all the voting rights and office holding privileges as their male counterparts in the fire department.
